Year End Review:
First of all I want to thank all of our friends and fans for a pretty good 2009. It's been a bumpy road, and honestly we could have done better with a few things (me updating my front page for one thing, heh heh ^_^;; ). Getting a store up and running was attempted, but never finished. Neato gaining and being let go from various jobs, which was a drain on not only himself, but his creative process in doing Kiki. Working on my job more than I am on the site didn't help either, and thanks something I'll go into more detail in a bit. And the new page means that Neato got his laptop back. It's quite a story, but Neato can tell you what went down. It was good, but wasn't great.
New Years Resolutions:
So what does this mean for 2010? More of the same just won't cut it anymore. We'll be approaching our 5th year anniversary doing this comic come July, and we'll be approaching things a bit differently going forward. First and foremost, we'll be committing to getting a store up and running! Anyone who knows me knows I hate to make promises, because when I say them and it doesn't happen, I feel terrible about letting them down. We have to design some more merch first and for good reason. But I'll get into that one later too. Also, we're going to try to shoot for consistent update schedules as well.
Angry Rabbit Relaunch:
We're planning on relaunching Angry Rabbit.com as well. We'll have all new comics not just from me and Neato, but also from our buddy Gatsu-san. He'll post more about himself and what he'll bring to the table in a forum post soon. We hope to have it up real soon and that in addition to new and old Kiki merchandise, there's some original stuff on the agenda as well which means more variety! We'll post more as we get closer to the site's launch!
Kitsune Kiki 2.0
Another thing that's made updating comics a royal pain is the archaic uploading scheme we've been doing since day 1. Constanly updating ALL the other comic pages to account for one new one isn't cool and so we're looking to use the WordPress engine after thinking we could do it ourselves. It's proven, it's got the plug-ins to make it easier, so why not? Expect the site to look a bit well...shinier too I suppose.
So those are what's on the agenda for this year. I think if we can accomplish those, then we can move on to other "projects" started. Figures and plushies perhaps? ^_^ Oh yeah, it's the year of the Tiger isn't it? (Well officially on Feb. 14th) The sign of courage! Might be a good time to try and spice up your usual routine or try a new hobby or go somewhere you've never been! Bring out the Tiger in you and challenge yourself to unleash your true potential! Good luck! (o ゚▽゚) b
